Are Workers Rethinking Retirement Age?

28 Mar

Here is a little white paper I came across recently.  In a survey done by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), it seems that is the case.

More and more people expect to retire after the age of 65. This has huge impacts on all sorts of things.  An older worker costs a company more in health care and wages. It means a younger worker entering the work force has less jobs to choose from. This is an interesting study.

If you own a business in Sonoma County, this is one reason to encourage more contributions in employee 401(k) plans.  The more folks save, the better they are ready to retire.
