A Financial Shock on the Horizon

19 Feb

I’ve written about this many times in the past. The fact that Americans haven’t saved enough for retirement. I think here in Santa Rosa, things are a bit better than nationally.  Still, we aren’t putting enough in our 401(k)s, pensions and savings to make a retirement a reality for most Americans.  I don’t believe the Baby Boomer generation really believes this.  Lately, I’m seeing some folks who haven’t saved enough in my office. They seem to be in disbelief that their meager savings isn’t enough.  Folks, $75,000 at age 62 isn’t enough.

Not sure how we’ll turn this ship around.  But it better start quickly!
